My own first experiences in Jeolla-do were while living and teaching English in Muan-eup. Moving from the US Midwest to a new country was an enormous yet gratifying experience! Living outside of the city was difficult at first. However, it was easy to fall in love with the country-side; especially when you have access to the freshest food, stunning views, and kind people.

JiMin grew up in both Jeollanam-do and Gwangju. We were introduced through a close friend in beautiful Damyang during it's 2015 World Bamboo Festival. Now, in 2020, we are proud to have settled down in Gwangju, The City of Democracy.

 

Living in the midst of so many scenic and charming sites, we quickly realized how important it was that these locations become known and accessible to expats who might be new to this area.
