Cotton Story (with Coffee)

Our good friend DaeHwan recently introduced us to this cafe in the heart of BongSeonDong.

He knows all of the best restaurants and cafes in Namgu, so when he took us here, we knew it would be great!

I'd also been following this cafe on Instagram for a while and been meaning to go ~ I wish I'd ventured here much sooner!

Cottonstory operates as a brunch cafe until 5pm, or until their ingredients run out. They have a variety of amazing menu items including galettes (folded crepes packed with a variety of savory ingredients, sandwiches, and even shakshuka (eggs in hell).

We ordered this beautiful bacon galette filled with bacon, creamy goat cheese, arugula, tomato, and an over-easy egg, topped with more cheese. It was delightful and would definitely order again, though I also love to try their shrimp galette.

To balance out the savory, we also ordered this gorgeous french toast paired with late summer, early autumn fruit. I'm a sucker for anything with figs it seems.

I think I need to invest in a clear teapot.

Walk around the cafe because they have some art and antique tea sets scattered around.

When we went with Daehwan, we ordered some black sesame cake and heard that they outsource their bakery items from a local baker here in Bongseondong. It was so delicious so compliments to this mystery baker whoever you are!

This was a really exquisite cafe and we can't wait to come back!
