Naju Hydrangea Path

Hydrangea photos are all the rage these days it seems. Everyone and their mother is racing to take the best pictures with these flowers. Whether you want to take photos or just walk amongst the flowers, we have the details about where to find beautiful hydrangeas here in Jeollanamdo.

Naju is a small city just a 30-40 minute drive outside of Gwangju. Here at

There is even a lookout point that looks out at the ocean.

Make sure you keep to the right after walking up the hill. You will pass the public restrooms and then the lookout point before hitting the hydrangea path.

The path was so quiet and peaceful and covered with hydrangeas ranging from periwinkle to violet to hot pink. Everything was so green and lush in the middle of June, and the trees provided shade from the hot sun.

You can continue down a steep hill for what we heard were even more beautiful flowers, though we passed on the option as I definitely wasn't wearing the right footwear.

We recommend going in the beginning of June -- either early in the morning or later at night to beat the crowds. We hope you can make it next summer!~
